Design a community people don't want to leave.
A four-week cohort for people building online communities, memberships, and onboarding. You bring one you're actually working on and develop the strategy behind it, alongside others who are in the arena doing this work.
Community work is hard, often lonely, and easy to feel under-resourced. This is where you build the strategy to move through it: real examples of what's worked and what hasn't, metrics that actually fit your community, AI-smart systems that lighten the load without losing the human touch, and tested tools you can run at any size.
When it runs
The next cohort starts October 5 and runs through October 30. Live sessions are Thursdays at 11am ET, with drop-in office hours twice a week.
The four weeks
Week 1 · Foundations. Purpose, who it's really for, and your strategy.
Week 2 · Orientation. How people find you and arrive: acquisition, referrals, and what the first 30, 60, and 90 days look like.
Week 3 · Participation. The rituals and artifacts that make your community yours, and what to actually measure for engagement (a lurker doesn't have to be a bad word).
Week 4 · Return. Retention over churn, leveling up your internal leaders and champions, and the systems and AI that protect your time for the human touch.
Everything lives in a Notion hub, with a Slack cohort between sessions and tested tools, frameworks, and AI prompts you keep.
Who it's for
People launching a community from scratch, pivoting one whose goals have changed, building connective tissue between programs and events, delegating to internal leaders, taming a community that's eating their energy to moderate, or grappling with the business model. Works whether your community is 50 people or 50,000.
